Join us for a unique opportunity to create handmade gifts in our immersive woodshop experience. Perfect for young creators 7-14 years of age who are eager to craft something special for the holidays! Each day is designed to be a stand alone experience. Or, sign up for 2 days with twice the fun and twice the possibilities. By the end of each day, campers will have something hand made to take home. Gift wrapping of handheld items is also available at camp.

Mitchell Point Summer Camps invites young artisans to our Woodshop Design Day, where creativity meets craftsmanship. Participants will explore woodworking techniques, guided by experienced instructors, to design and build their own projects. Our goal is to inspire a love for hands-on creation, providing all necessary materials and guidance to ensure a rewarding experience. Whether choosing from our curated project list or bringing their own ideas to life, kids will leave with unique, handmade gifts perfect for the holiday season.

Daily Schedule Overview

Drop Off

8:30am - 8:45am

Campers are dropped off at the bottom of the driveway and walk up to the property with their lunch and water bottle in their backpack.

Morning Work Block

9am - 10:30am
Kick off the day with focused crafting time, diving into your chosen project with guidance from our skilled instructors.

Snack Break

10:30am - 10:45am
Refuel with a quick snack to keep energy levels high for more creative fun.

Late Morning Work Block

10:45am-11:45am
Continue working on your project, applying new skills and techniques learned.

Lunch Break

11:45am - 12:15pm

Enjoy a nutritious lunch (brought from home) and socialize with fellow young creators.

Group Game

12:15pm - 1pm
Participate in a fun, collaborative game to foster teamwork and creativity.

Afternoon Work Block

1pm - 3pm
Wrap up the day with an extended session to finalize your project, ensuring it’s ready for gifting.

Pickup

3:15pm - 3:30pm

All campers walk down to the pick up location at the bottom of the driveway. Any large projects will be driven down in the back of a pickup truck for the campers.

Daily Fee

Each 7 hour day costs $150 per participant.

Included Materials

All wood and crafting materials are provided for the projects listed as options on the registration form. This also includes gift wrapping of handheld projects. If your own idea requires unique fasteners or hardware, please bring them with you.

Project Selection

Campers start the day by picking a project to complete for the day. If time allows, a second or third project may be completed.

Flexible

Tool Use

Campers have access to power tools for drilling, screwing, and sanding with guidance. All other power tools including all cutting will be done by adults.
